Weightlifting Week Starting 8/8/16 NEW CYCLE STARTS TODAY!

In case anyone didn’t realise, the Olympics started a few days ago and a few weight categories have already been decided. The BBC are broadcasting all of the weightlifting, so make sure to tune in if you can spare the time!

Monday

Snatch Pull Under – light weight / 3 reps x 4 sets
Snatch + Overhead Squat (2-3s pause in squat)— 65-70%/2+2 reps x 5 sets
Snatch Pull to Hip – 85%/3 reps x 3 sets, 90%/3 reps x 2 sets
Aleknas – 10 reps x 4 sets

Wednesday

Back Squat – 90% of C&J/4 reps x 4 sets
Clean & Jerk – 75%/2 reps x 4 sets
Clean Pull to Thigh – 85-90%/5 reps x 4 sets
Strict Press – 5 reps x 5 sets

Friday

Snatch – 75-80%/2 reps x 4 sets
Clean + Front Squat + Jerk – 70%/1 rep x 5 sets
Front Squat – 80% of C&J/3 reps x 4 sets
Swiss Ball Deadbugs – 20-30 reps x 3 sets
